egames indentified as trojan

    A recent update to the signatures is identifying egames stuff as a trojan. According to McAfee and egames, this is not a trojan (probably some ad thing), and I've had it on my computer since 2001.

    Maybe this should be more accurately identified.

    Well, without analysing the file it's never possible to tell it's actually dangerous or not. Have you already submitted it by email to Eset for analysis?

    Try scanning the files in question at: Jotti's malware scan
    Or even better: VirusTotal

    If it is ad-ware and this bothers you that NOD detects this, you can disable the "Adware/Spyware/Riskware" detection in the AMON and on-demand scan settings (under "Options"). Alternatively, exclude the folder in AMON (under "Exclusions").
