Do not update windows Server 2008 to ESETBE 4.2.58 if you have and Intel motherboard and are using Intel Matrix Storage Disk Drivers

Symptom, shortly after install, raid array degrades with some members marked as missing or corrupt.

Occurs in both Mirror and raid 5 sets
causes freezes of OS, long rebuilds and then it happens again and again
Some interaction between eset 4.2.58 and the disk driver is broken
Finaly one machine had both disks in mirror set marked as bad, froze, died and was not recoverable, would not boot.

uninstall eset - all of it including Remote Admin
if system is critical you may have to do this in safe mode.
rebuild/verify ALL arrays, allow system to stabilise for a day
Install ESET BE version 4.2.40 gives no immediate problem

I note Australian support were advised of this problem but typically took NO ACTION....
