    Hi,

I have a Windows 2003 Server that has dynamic disks that I have already created an image of. How do I bring that into a virtual environment replacing the drivers without using the Universal Restore option??

    Hello Mike,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Server Disk Backup Software.

We are very sorry for the delay with the response.

Please be aware that, as it is mentioned in sections 3.7.3 of Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Windows and 3.7.5 of Acronis True Image 9.1 Enterprise Server User's Guides, Acronis Universal Restore is not available when restoring dynamic disks and volumes, i.e. if the restored image contains dynamic disks and volumes.

I'm afraid that the only workaround we can suggest you in this case is to restore the beforehand created image to a spare hard drive\computer, convert disks back to basic (this previous thread may be of some help), back up them once more, restore the newly created image to the desired location using Acronis Universal Restore.

If you have any further questions concerning Acronis software, please feel free to submit a request for technical support or post any of them on this forum. We will certainly try to help you in resolving any issues.

    Thank you.
