Dual boot xp + vista with xp already installed

I started with xp first. I created a partition with disk director suite and installed vista. OSS features both OS icons but if you select either one it immediately defaults to the windows bootloader. This is an unecessary step. I would just go with the windows bootloader but I like the options that come with OSS and my mouse or keyboard do not work with the windows bootloader.

Is it possible to bypass bootloader, yet still have access to both OSes without uninstalling Vista?
