DSL

    I recently installed Verizon DSL. Im running win98 and after about a week,my system is running slow and at times it takes about 30 seconds to connect to an internet site.My system resource is down to 53%
    Anyone have any solutions?

    Hi Dgual,

    Welcome!

    It sounds as if you may have something running in Windows that maybe shouldn't be there. But shouldn't get ahead of ourselves yet.

    My first questions would be whether or not you have a software or hardware firewall installed, and whether you have an up-to-date antivirus, or other security measures in place. If you could post answers to those questions, it might give those here a better shot at lending a hand.

    Problem solved. I simply removed un-needed start-up programs. Have the resources up to 85%
