You can test KIS2006. But it's protype version. It's very light and powerfull.

I wonder whats wrong with NOD32 that you didn't like. It's probably the fastest AV and detection is better and better with each release. And it's very light too.

Rejzor, it needs some time to get used of Nod32 :D :D . But the appreciation comes as the time passes. Mantra Try some more days the beta version.

The advice i would give you is as follows.

You are running out of Options on what good products you can use.. :) and I am concerned that you are either running more that one AV at a time and that you never have really cleaned off all those you have tested.

    So tell me this..

What are you trying to accomplish..

During the time that you have used any of the products descirbed in the above links..did they let a virsus, torjan or worm infected your PC when they were active ?

Are you looking for real time protection or just for scanning your whole PC after it is infected ?

Have you ever been infected at all with a badboy..and if so what kind or name..and then how did you clean it off your PC ?

What is the main purpose of your PC ( what do you use it for) ?

If you will answers those questions..I think people could help you more.

I also don't get why you should get bored with avast!. It's not a game that should entertain you. It's an AV product.

    He's pulling your collective Legs

:D Avast is the most amusing AV program I have ever seen, I love the way it reports viruses and sounds alarms, perhaps you should connect your computer to your surround sound system and then fool around with the equalizer. Then switch the Avast warning sound for the dobly THX sound, place your cat in the middle of speaker systen, and allow cat to fall asleep, Then do virus checking, but make sure you have a virus. This should generate some excitment for you. Please use a plastic cat, because using a real cat would be just plain cruel.

I didn't say I was using it. I'm using AntiVir. Avast slows my machines down too much.

I don't think from this persons posts, that he/she would be happy with VBA32. If they think NOD32 is heavy, then I don't think VBA is for them.
Don't get me wrong, I really like VBA, but NOD32 is one of(if not the) lightest AV's.

Visit lots of random porn sites while Avast is active. I guarantee you will be entertained. :D

[Of course, I am assuming you are over 18!]

Yes I have 5.1 surround sound system - No THX, only Dolby Digital, and possibly DTS :D:D:D:D

    But no cat :(

I dont think mantra has much hope for a light AV if NOD32 was heavy....try Dr.Web, thats all I'll say.

It is actually possible to replace that sound file with one of your own. For example, I had a voice calling HALT! and then gunshot for my "detection" alert. Pretty cool :p
