    Hi all!

    1. I got a question. is there a way to update the acronis bootable rescue cd with network drivers and scsi/sata adapters?

    course i know i can include them into a bart pe or xpe, but what i want is to implement drivers into the real acronis iso file so everything is going to be detected properly. any ideas?

    2. Is there anyone who every wanted to start acronis from a usb-stick ? i found a workaround to start it, but obviously without UR working. so... that does only half the job. just before i start to do it myself im curious if there is a solution already...

    thanks.

    1) The only way to update drivers for the Linux version of TI (the FULL version) or the DOS version (the SAFE version) is to either contact Acronis Support with your hardware requirements and have them create a special ISO file for you OR wait until a future build and hope support is included.

    2) Are you needing UR? Are you talking about the Workstation version of TI? Creating a regular bootable USB flash drive of the Home version can be done easily with the Acronis Media Builder program. Just select the flash drive from the available devices (it needs to be formatted as FAT32).

    HI,

    To use UR, you could create a bootable USB Drive (Flash or disk) with BartPE and Mustangs Plugin.

    Else Acronis Media builder does include UR, so you can select a USB drive as a destination.

    Good work,

    Hello quasimonto,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Server Disk Backup Software.

    Please notice that the drivers are updated with every new build of the program. Please make sure you use the latest build of Acronis True Image. To get access to updates you should first register your software. Don't forget to recreate Acronis Bootable Rescue Media after updating.

    If the latest build doesn't solve the problem, please try booting with "acpi=off noapic" parameter as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    Note that if you use an older version of Acronis True Image (version 8.0 or lower) you should press F11 button when the "Starting Acronis Loader..." message appears and not when the selection screen appears (Acronis True Image 8.0 Bootable Rescue CD for example does not have any selection screen).

    If the issue persists, please collect some information to let us investigate it thoroughly:

    - Boot the computer from Acronis Bootable Rescue Media, remove the "quiet" parameter and wait for # prompt to appear;
    - Insert a diskette in a floppy disk drive and issue the following commands;

    cd tmp
    mkdir mntdir
    mount /devfs/floppy/0 mntdir
    cat /proc/net/dev > mntdir/net.txt
    asamba dhcp -n > asa_dhcp.txt
    asamba masters > asa_mast.txt
    sysinfo > mntdir/sysinfo.txt
    umount mntdir

    - Collect the net.txt, asa_dhcp.txt, asa_mast.txt and sysinfo.txt files from the diskette.

    Please create Acronis Report as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.
