    Hi Jo-Ann

I have a UBCD4Win myself from long ago.
I am now assisting a friend of mine to build its own. He has Drive Snapshot installed on his PC. I tried to find (in the Plugins folder) where 'Snapshot' is located in order to 'activate it', but in vain.
From UBCD4Win -> Plugins -> Discs -> Backup I found 6 tiny programs but Snapshot is missing
I open a new folder (within Plugins) where I copied the content of the 'Networkbootdiskette" from the Program Files/Snapshot but after activating the Builder I am not seeing it.

    I used UBCD4Win 3.50 version

    Any help. thanks

Did you try to copy your registered snapshot.exe into that folder before starting the iso build ?

Snapshot.exe does not even need to be on the CD. It can be on a USB flash drive. Boot from the CD and navigate to your flash drive.

    Thanks for your prompt answer.

    1. Is there a file named Snapshot within the Plugins folder of the UBCB4Win program?
    2. I opened his Program Files/Snapshot and all what I can see are:
    - Drive Snapshot - Diskimaging for WindowsNT
    - networkbootdiskette - Snapshot Image file
    - help (file folder)
Where is Snapshot.exe located? is this the Diskimaging for WindowsNT (which is opening the GUI of the program?)
    3. I will try Bryan K proposal and copy the file Diskimaging for WindowsNT on a USB flash drive and check it after building the UBCD disc

I am using another backup program but I found IMHO quite annoying that DS is not providing a rebootable disc with the program. UBCD itself has also many errors during the buildup of the ISO file

    Thanks

Yes he has a registered version

    Brian:
We copied the file 'Drive Snapshot - Diskimaging for WindowsNT' from the Program Files on a USB flash drive, built a UBCD bootable disc.
After booting from the CD, and opening the flash drive we could see the file which is now called:snapshot.exe
We opened the startup screen easily, as from Windows.

    Thanks

    samy,

    Nice work.

I don't know why folks don't try to use the DOS restore disk. I've posted how to use the disk and it is quite simple. For a small image restore, overall, DOS is faster. For a large image restore I would use a BartPE type CD.
