That is what I'm using at this time. KIS 6 to be specific. Who knows what AV or suite it will be tomorrow. :ninja:

Still will be KIS 6. The Inspector helped me decide, in an indirect way.

V5 will 'definatly' bring more usable quarantine, higher speed scanning, and a control centre which will bring together a common interface of all components, as well as many other innovations. :) keep posted

Is this something you have heard through the grapevine or just a guesstimate?

Hi trjam. I just re-read my post, #28, and your post #29. Where I wrote "who knows what AV or suite it will be tomorrow". I was referring to me, not you. I hope you didn't take offense. :)

i have been using KAV proactive defense now for about 6 weeks, and twice in one day, two days ago, while i was visiting websites on a google search, a red pop-up window appeared accompanied by a "cat-snarl" indicating that kaspersky proactive defense was blocking a trojan that was present within that site. i was given a choice to permit, or deny. of course, i chose to deny, which meant i was not going to visit that site.
this was very strong evidence in support of kaspersky's proactive defense's protection. maybe dr web could have done the same thing. i don't know.
since then i have scanned with symantec, bitdefender, mcafee, trendmicro, panda, and CA on-line scans. also in safe mode with KAV and asquared antimalware, also in safe mode with antispyware by spysweeper, AVG AS, superantispyware, adaware, and spybot. they all say i'm clean.
sure, it's possible that it could have been a false detection by KAV proactive defense, but i don't think it was. i think it prevented me from getting a trojan, twice.

He changes his mind more than John Kerry. Fickleness is never good.

Sometimes even that quality has its good uses. For example, fickle people can never convincingly be turned to evil. And they are always in constant thought, constant doubt. Sometimes this leads to birth of new, sometimes revolutionary ideas. :D :D :p :)
