I think the "duke nukem forever" jokes will finally be laid to rest ;)

It's been a while... but it should prove interesting to see the general reaction to this suite-newcomer to the lineup.

And yes, this is V5 for the suite+standalone AV, as demonstrated by the images in the estore (e.g. http://www.av-desk.com/static/new-www/50_ss_en.png )

edit: although the Russian homepage still displays "Dr web version 5 beta"

this isnt really a typical internet security suite though, there's no firewall which is typically in the suites and http scanning is normally included in the AV only as well.

I updated to the v5 of the antivirus only. Running silk smooth, scanning a bit faster but have some false detections. It suggests that some EXECryptor packed files are "Probably Trojan.Packed.xxx" and some older threatfire installer contains "Probably BATCH.Virus"

It seems to me that the v5 is has extremely aggressive heuristics, probably the FLY-CODE thingy.

    From the website:

"Low-cost upgrade to Dr.Web Security Space

Starting December 18, 2008 users of Dr.Web for Windows. Anti-virus&Anti-spam shall be able to upgrade to Dr.Web Security Space free of charge.

Users of Dr.Web anti-virus for Windows can upgrade to Dr.Web Security Space at the price of renewal."

What is the difference between Dr.Web for windows vs Dr.Web anti-virus for windows?

    Confusing o_O
