I have IE 7 in protected mode (Vista) and tried Dr. Web's link scanner but I cannot get it to execute. Is link scanner not yet compatible with Vista or do I need to enable/disable something?

Since it adds information to the registry, you'll need to download the .REG file and execute it with admin rights.

right click any link in your browser to scan it via drweb.

you will see "Scan link with Dr.Web" in your context menu.

    enjoy ;)

    -------------

to answer your question, once the registry entry has been added and IE restarted, the link scanner is activated and you may scan any file you wish on your browser with drweb, for free. :)

    also,

yes, it works fine with IE7 and Vista.

Nice. I didn't know that Dr Web's Link Scanner was available in IE7.

BTW, I had reason to contact Dr Web support here recently and I must say they were fast in responding to both of my inquiries. Very impressive. A great support team.
