Here's a harmless possibility for you to try...

    Right Click Start button
    Left Click "Properties"
    Left Click "Taskbar" tab

Is there a check mark in the box for "Hide Inactive Icons" ? If so, uncheck that box, click "OK" then click "Apply". Does that get DrWeb's icons back?

Have you checked task manager? Are the modules running? Click on Start button > All Programs > DrWeb? Check SpIDer Guard and SpIDer Mail, make sure they are set to load at startup and you have show icons enabled. You can also check the scheduler from the same menu.

    Hi Marc,

What Windows alert are you getting? When you uninstalled and re-installed, did you re-boot after you uninstalled, before re-installing? Did you delete the DrWeb folder under program files before re-installing? Did you cleanup the registry with a registry cleaner after uninstalling, before you re-installed?

I have uninstalled and re-installed a couple of times myself, after tinkering with the program, but it has always re-installed without problem. Have you run the system file check utility in Windows to check the integrity of your system files?

The alert is from security center,I uninstalled all folders programs and files cleaned with Regsupreme re-booted and then re-installed again.Still no icons in system tray. When Dr. Web is installing the spiderguard icon is in the tray, but when Dr web as finished installing you have to re-start your Pc. When the system re-starts the icons have gone. The program is allowed by Comodo Fw and prevx1.

You may have to turn Prevx1 active monitoring off during installation and anything else you have running real time while installing software, have you done this? Something is interfering with the installation. My guess would be your hips program. You also use the same registry cleaner I do, great program.

Charles, DrWeb may not be compatible with Prevx1. When did your DrWeb problems start?

Does Prevx1 have an exclusion folder, you may need to place DrWeb program in there to avoid a possible conflict, if one exists.
