I recently got a license for Dr Web AV and the firewall is an included component. I dont see much mention of the FW here, so I figured Id start something. Anyone have any screenshots or insight into its effectiveness?

Is that part of the new AV?

The FW is in the new AV Pro and in the Security Space. The difference between those two is that the Security Space has HTTP monitor and parental controls. Despite not being listed on the Dr.Web site the AV Pro has anti spam as well.

I grabbed some screenshots for you folks. Looks pretty intuitive. The entire AV Pro suite with firewall and AV weighs in kind of heavy. 133Mbs for the AV portion of it, 5Mbs for the FW, 3Mbs for the SpiderAgent, and another 7 for the FW notifications.

Nice GUI. I like the Cog with the fire coming out of it.
Screen shots are great. Seems like a nice straight foreward firewall.

Downloaded the demo, running it in a W7x32 Vm.
Very nice firewall in interactive mode. Thanks for the screenshots whitedragon.
Are there any good reviews of Dr Web AV around?

Im not finding any reviews for the latest version. However Ive seen nothing but positives for it and its healing capabilities. Ive also found great reviews for the Android app.

I havent seen anything for the FW either other than Matousec's skewed reviews.

If your interested I have a link for a legit version of Dr.Web SS, AV Pro, or the Android app.

Why does everyone say Matousec's reviews are skewed? Just wondering what this person does different that AV comparatives does not do?

Because they are a HIPS test not a true packet filtering test as they would have you believe. In this case Dr Web's FW does poorly there due to the way it functions compared to the way Comodo or Outpost function and do well in that test.

Contrary to the resource usage it feels extremely light on the system and is very snappy to respond atleast for me.
