Finally, coming out of the woods.:doubt:

Dr Webs 7 beta is really a huge step to not only catching up, in my viewpoint, but is actually going to put them fighting at the front. 7.0 is completely different as most know, but it aint your Daddys Buick anymore. I have been testing it from the start and the latest update actually makes it a useable product. It has streamlined many functions and modules so as I like to say, SIMPLICITY IS THE ONLY WAY TO SURVIVE!

The Websters have done it. Detection of malware and zero malware, in my limited high school diploma tests, have astounded me, especially in the rogue catagory.

So, as with toilet paper, time will tell, but it is going to be a new 2 headed Russian duel thanks to 7.0

Also anyone wanting to purchase at a great price, just shoot me a pm.

alot of it is under the hood. A couple of things I like are it doesnt use task scheduler to update anymore and the following screenshot where I can monitor all computers.

The GUI is clean and nice - I like it. Options look simple like they should be and the company is respected in their history. Probably a winner.

Tried it out and the firewall is a pain. The AV component seems nice but slowed my laptop down so I tried to uninstall it. It will not go away so I had to do a system restore. I understand its a beta. Though i will probably not use the final anyway I will say that I hope this version does well for Dr. Web. It would be great for some more competition in this area of technology to push innovation.

Max 100MB even lower is better of course, but my main concern is the I/O usage, it must be low for me to actually use it. Also the virtual memory usage must be low.

mine is using about 80 megs, alot, but it doesnt feel it. Kind of like F-Secure and how it does but is light.

I/O writes and reads are the lowest of any product I have ever used.

Actually trjam doesn't change his avatar, actually trjam isn't even a person. trjam is just a bot which automatically posts randomly selected security programs twice a week in the "What is your security setup these days?" and selects the corresponding avatar. One can compare trjam to one of those MSN bots you can talk to (You: Hey, I hate you you fricking idiot! MSN bot: I am great thank you! How are you!?).
