Anyone have any information on when version 5.0 will be released? Any rumors about it at all?

I know it's been in Beta for awhile now.

    Thanks.

What I do know is a major improvement in the scan engine and speed of Dr.Web with version 5.0, and a new interface. Most likely Dr.Web 5.0 will be either end of this year or by March-April next year. :)

    Dr.Web 4.x has been around since 1999 now..

Please see these threads for further info: here and here

Also, there is no current beta of Dr Web 5.0; the beta that is available is Dr. Web 4.33.2 with SpiderGate

I agree, Kaspersky detection is very good, so is Dr.Web's. I prefer Dr.Web. It's an awesome program and does everything I need an antivirus to do and it does it exceptionally well.
