Download question

I have been having some issues with v3.0.621 and 100% cpu usage as well as a delay in program opening like Opera and Thunderbird along with a lot of others. I think the delay is associated with the 100% cpu usage.

I am about to download the latest version and try a fresh install.

When I first purchased EAV I was sent an email with a link to the program. Will that link give me the latest version if I use it to download?

I am on dialup (a slow one, not that dialup isn't slow in and of it's self) and therefore the download will take quite a bit of time. I don't want to find out that it's an older version when I install. How can I be sure it's the latest and greatest?

On Edit: One more thing. I read someplace, I think, that v2.7 had something to do with winsock and that a repair was necessary or something. I had a trial copy of v2.7 just before v3 came out do I need to do something with that as well?
