I installed Microsoft Office 2007 on local drive E:\ and when I checked for Windows updates there weren't any for Office. It's an old version and I know there should be some updates available. Does Windows update only check C:\ or should it check all local drives?

Did you check and see if MS still supports it. If they don't, you won't get any updates.

It checks for registered software, does not matter what your drive letter is. From what I could find, 2007 should be in extended support until Oct. 2017.

I don't think it's registered. When I ran it the first time it didn't prompt me to register so I 'll try to do it from the Help menu in the program. Anyway, that answers my question, many thanks. :)
