Does Windows 8 definetly have a "snapshot" recovery feature?

    CTM is probably my most valuable app, free or commercial. My XP desktop is still fine but I may finally get a new machine a few months after 8's release if it indeed can take snapshots.

    Never heard of such a feature in win 8. There is a much better system restore though as I know.

    I've saw a "better" system restore feature. Nothing more.
    It does not seem to be a snapshot technology.

    Probably not but it is waaay too early to speculate on this. You will probably get a better answer in 3-6 months.

    There's system restore as always.

    There's also a system reset, which deletes your program files and reinstalls the OS leaving your personal data alone.
