does switching off zass' av affect its antispyware protection?

    hi
    i'm using a standalone av product. planning to trial zonealarm security suite 8. i'll use it av disabled because i already have another av on my system. so will disabling zass' antivirus protection (turning off av) have any impact on its antispyware protection, does it affect its asw protection effectiveness?
