Does Nod32 detect this exploit?

    I should have read further down the page. :)

    But I am not sure what "protection" means in this case. It is an unpatched MS problem. Unless you use the work-around to unregister the shimgvw.dll, it appears it can still infect your computer. Granted Nod32 detects it, but does it prevent it from doing damage to the computer?

    NOD32 blocked this on one of my machines ("Win32/TrojanDownloader.Wmfex"), so it detects and protects (as far as I can guess).
