Are there any retail stores that sell NOD32? I need to get it quickly and I don't want to download it. I live near Dallas, TX.

    Hi Lazarey, welcome to Wilders.

You can always download the Trial Version until you sort out your purchase.

    Cheers :D

You can contact ESET Sales Dept. for more information
I suggest you contact them to find information about a reseller , may be , to have even local support for NOD32 as well as all other options

Here's what I found on their US site :

    Mail to : sales@eset.com
    Phone ESET California (+1) 619.319.3000
Phone for Central United States - Texas

Mr. Mark Wilson ( Channel Sales Manager ) 214.718.2667

Boxed is the $49 - not the $39... that's an "OEM" license - which I think is a key only...

Thank you! I want to install NOD32 on a new PC with no protection software. But I read that ESET emails you a user name and a password. How do I go about getting NOD32 registered without connecting to the internet?

the boxed needs to be registered to get a username/password. You basically need an email address, or someone to use theirs to get it to you.

You could call a reseller such as ourselves, or Eset direct to help.

I was just concerned that I would have request the email with the user name & password from the computer that I am installing NOD32 on. If not, then I can use an older computer of mine to access the internet and retreive the email. How do I contact ESET to tell them to send the email?
Just trying to sort all this out before I order the boxed NOD32.

When you buy a boxed version, it comes with a serial code - that code is registered via the website here:

    http://www.eset.com/purchase/register.php

Whatever email address you give will get the username/password email sent to it. You can then use that username/password to install and setup the machine you're installing onto.

I hope the machine you're installing onto have internet access for updates....

Thanks, that clears it all up for me!

Yes, the new computer will have internet access. I just don't want to connect it until I have security software installed. Any good threads to read about anti-spyware, firewall, ect.?

Should I be concerned that the most recent post is from June of '06? I'm not trying to be rude in any way, I just didn't know if that would affect the validity of the suggestions.

June 2006 is only 6 months ago... Have a look at when some of the posts were edited. (I keep mine up-to-date).

Nod32usa.com has student prices of 19.50 per year, or $29.25 for 2 years.

As far as I can tell (correct me if I am wrong), the student version is the same as the regular version.

Of course , it is the same . You just have to proove you are real student .

I can't speak for other resellers, but we accept the following as proof of student status:

    1. scan/fax of student ID matching delivery name
    2. email address at the school/educational establishment
    3. a letter signed by a faculty member (lecturer, teacher, school administrator etc) - stating you are a student on school letterhead (student name must match delivery name

Is delivery name same as order name?
Most students below college can't match their name to the order since they don't have credit cards.

Correct to assume, any one of the above is ok?

I don't know how email address can verify a student since school email addresses are easy to get. Also, most schools will not verify a student if you send an email to them.

yes - delivery/order name as most often the same. The reason I said delivery rather than order, is that we SOMETIMES have a father purchase for a child who is at college - and the ORDER NAME is the one on the credit card, but the delivery *CAN* be different when purchased as a gift (it doesn't happen often though).

    hope that clarifies...
