    Hi

about true image 2011/2012 , has a partition alignment feature/setup in the restore process ?

i know it does in the cloning disk

but what about restore an image to a partition ?
i know , or i'm almost sure true image 2011 home does not preserve the partition alignment

do you still acronis ? can you setup partition alignment in the restore process ?
it could be a mess restoring an image in an hard disk with xp and vista/7 partitions

    thanks
    cheers

You can't manually select the alignment method used. TI tries to detect the correct alignment that should be used on the destination drive. For example, SSD or 4K sector drive would be aligned to the new standard. The alignment should be correct on the destination drive regardless of whether or not it was correct on the source. My understanding is that 2012 is more "current" on this than 2011, though I haven't done any extensive testing.

I still recommend checking the alignment after the restore to make sure it's correct. I don't know if Acronis will add any type of manual setting, but it's been requested for both TI and DD.

Oh I know...I was being sarcastic...HAHA. The older versions (8.x up to Echo) were awesome. I don't use them anymore.
