    Hello,
Does anyone recommend it? And if so, how often?
Should I only back system files or everything. And in case I want to use the backup, will it be similar to using system restore?
    Mrk

    Short answer: Yes
    Long answer: No

Although Windows Backup is absolutely fine, and is better than system restore (System restore is like a snapshot not a complete backup of files) it is wise to use use an imaging software (Such as Norton Ghost or Acronis TrueImage) as it is independant of the Operating System. If you operating system dies, then how are you going to get the backup wizard to work?.
