In recent months I've backed up my registry on a floppy disc on a regular basis using the windows xp back up utility.

It suddenly dawned on me I was using the same floppy disc-is this ok? Can I re use the same floppy disc? Or should I use a new one whenever I back up?

    Thanx in advance.

For starters, I wouldn't recommend using a floppy (although cheap and easy to use, not all that reliable for important data)

You can do the option with XP to "Append" or "Overwrite" to exisiting backups.

To answer your question...yes you can use the same floppy.
