I then thinking that maybe there's no need to use this feature in my Privacy Guardian software program, but I was also curious for what really it can do to improve to or at least make "something" to my hard drives coz it is included in the program. :cautious:

Do u also uses this feature, or what it really does? ...more security, wiping more effectivelyo_O o_O

Isn't bleaching or wiping free space to do with clearing previously deleted stuff by normal means? In other words, deleting the contents of the Recycle Bin without securely wiping it.

    Hi, folks:

Would bleaching free space of hard drive shorten its lifespan ? as a result of extraordinarily heavy wear and tear ?

I think it would cause no more wear than defragging. I consider it very minimal effect.

    Hi Guys,

No no no, the damage is done when you use spray starch & iron the free space. Actually i don't think that function, has any worth, except for sensitive material.

    Take Care

I think it implies it will wipe with e.g. 3 passes so data recovery software can't bring it back. Bleaching? Sounds like the 'term' from Webroots old WindoWasher cleaner.
