I have been using DNSCrypt via this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6Lu4XwCwqM and afaik it does the job, but I know there is other DNSCrypt apps out there like Simple DNSCrypt, so what do you guys like and recommend?

DNS Nameserver Spoofability Test = excellent

  2. I don't know of any other apps like SimpleDnsCrypt. I don't think any exist. What's wrong with SimpleDnsCrypt?

I'm happy with my DNS, i'm asking about DNSCrypt apps

  6. Install SimpleDNSCrypt and have a fiddle around. I'm sure you will like it. Plenty of DNScrypt servers all over the world to choose from.

https://dnscrypt.org shows all available dnscrypt clients. There are two GUI clients available for windows: simple dnscrypt and dnscrypt winclient.

I personally use the command-line version dnscrypt-proxy combined with dnsmasq, which gives me the added benefit of enabling it with dnssec.

I don't see need for those assistant tools even on windows. I don't frequently change my DNS, and running CMD or Network and Sharing Center and do some chores is not a hard task.
Only thing I couldn't do via them is enabling ephemeral keys, thanks to known bug which will be fixed in next version. Until then one need to manually edit registry.

Maybe this is a .Net framework problem? Did you try reinstall and updating your .Net?

    Do you use DNSC
I have been researching DNSSEC and there are a lot of mixed reports with some saying it is good and will soon be required and some saying it is bad, government controls it don't use it.
