Hi everyone, I'm looking for a DNS service that allows custom content filtering (to block domains). I know of opendns but it's limited to 25 domains that can be blocked.

Are there any other free DNS filtering services that allow custom filters?

    Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions, I looked on the K9 website and it asks you to download a client which must be installed. I'm looking to block content on tablets, phones, smart tv, etc.

Thats why I was hoping for a solution such as a DNS filtering.

Opendns is great but it only allows maximum of 25 custom domains to be blocked. Thats the main issue with opendns.

Anyone know when Comodo DNS is coming out of beta? That is supposed to have custom filtering?

You could try DynDNS. That is what I use.

    Is it free?

I'm dumb, my FIOS router has parental controls already built in. I can just use that to block domains. Doh.

Are you wanting to block more than 25 specific domains? OpenDNS blocks several categories of domain types which is what I do; then I make a few exceptions to not block. For example I have all social networking sites blocked except one that my forces me not to block.
