I just want to make sure before I disable these two modules. First, I do not use Microsoft Office for my documents, I use Microsoft Works 8, therefore I do not need Dmon enabled right? It only complements Amon with Microsoft word documents right?

Second, I also use MIcrosoft Outlook Express for email which is protected by Imon, and that Emon is for other than pop3 type mail protocols right?

Right now I am still running the default settings in NOD, but if I do not need these two modules I will disable them or does it hurt to leave them enabled?

    Thanks

They don't use any additional resources....so no gain in disabling them. Works does dabble with .doc files...so I'd also leave DMON enabled.

In addition to "Microsoft Office documents", DMON also scans ActiveX applets and plugins as they are downloaded and installed through Internet Explorer.
