    Hi,
I just got a replacement Mainboard, because my old one is broken.
The new board is the Asus M4A79 Deluxe.
But now Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 Build 2.161 does not recognize the harddisks anymore.
I need urgent help with that issue, because I cannot partition my system now.
Now I see that I bought the product for nothing, its useless for me, until you quickly provide a fix.
I already sent a message to support a few days ago, but I just have been ignored.
They could not even say hello until today.
Can you at least give me any response ?

You might try the Safe Mode version of DD.

You might also try contacting Acronis Support via their Live Chat option and see if they can supply you with an ISO that includes the drivers you need.

Thank you very much for your quick responses.

    That is the problem:
I contacted them exactly the method you are suggesting:
    http://www.acronis.com/company/contacts/request/index.html?t=1
They are just ignoring my issue.
Or they know about it, and dont even give a response.
I cannot even have a lookup of my issue on a web-application, just sent a message and its gone into the back hole.
How should I see the status of my service request ?

    Next problem:
Today got my new Dell E6400 Business Notebook.
    Same problem !
What makes the whole thing weird is that even with the bios-setting for the ide-compatibility mode (ata-mode), it still does not work.

I have certainly also checked for the latest updates every day.
Always the same very disappointing result.
They did not produce a new patch since 2 years !!!
    Latest avail Build #2161, 2007-03-14.
    This was made for Vista.
They really only do what they need to sell the product.

What makes me angry about this thing is that Freeware-Utilities like
    http://www.digitalincursion.net/partedmagic/
    work without any trouble.
The author only asks politely for 2$ if you are satisfied.

Acronis wants to have 37 Euro for a product that does not work anymore with new Pc-Mainboards and Notebooks.
I really ask myself for what ?
    Are they crazy ?

I will give it a second try, but I will not write a new message to support every day, just to be ignored again.
I will never ever pay for that product again and will use Freeware Products from now on.
I prefer to donate the 37 Euro to the Freeware-Authors, because they think about what they can do for the users instead of just thinking how they can have minimum effort and maximum money.

    I am really fed up.
Whats the point to pay for a partitioning software that does not work with current Pcs and Notebooks ?
    This is ridiculous.
I need the partition software only if I have a new system.
So it should be in the interest of Acronis to be as quick as possilbe if new chipsets arrive.
To have a patch 1 year later is useless, we dont need the software anymore and can save our money.

Btw, very sorry for not responding earlier to your replies.
I assumed I will get automatic email notification when there is a response in the forum thread.

Now, just tried the live chat and the support guy was great.
    Very friendly and helpful.
He gave me two iso images.

The first one was 2181_multi_s_e.iso and did not help:
    Error:
    E000101F4
Acronis Disk Director Suite has not found any hard disk drives

    The second one fixed it.
    2160_26_Standard_english_last.iso
No idea why the one with the older version number worked fine.

No idea why they did not respond to my email.
Also no idea why it takes two years until a fix comes out.
Maybe there was no issue in these two years and only recently with new chipsets like the SB750 they have issues with recognizing sata II disk drives.

But the live support session shows obviously that they provided numerous fixes.
Not sure why these has never gone into the updates for registered products.

    Anyway, I have a fix.
And in some point in time maybe other customers will get this fix too when looking for product updates for their registered products on the acronis page.
