    after running system cleanup (version 11) on a vistax32 system using the default settings the system would not reboot and I had to use the vista disc to repair the system. What should I change in the default settings, or should i not use the product.

    Hello knightgkla,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Please be aware that we have not heard about such problems of Acronis True Image 11 Home before and so we would like to investigate this one with your assistance, if you have time for this of course.

    Please make sure you use the latest build (8053) of Acronis True Image 11 Home. To get access to updates you should first register your software.

    Please create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post. Then please reproduce the problem, and create another Acronis Report (before repairing the system) the following way:
    - Run Acronis Report utility and select the Create bootable floppy option;
    - Insert a blank floppy disk in the floppy drive and proceed with creating the bootable diskette;
    - Boot the computer under consideration from this diskette and wait for report creation process to complete;
    Acronis Report will appear on the diskette as report.txt.

    Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.

    ANY disk clean-up program, registry cleaner that is used, a person is just asking for potential problems.

    If you feel the need to use such programs, backup your critical data, prior to using such programs.

    One thing also to remember, when using TI or any other disk imaging software: If your having problems with your PC's operating systems and you do an image of your hard drive at that time; if you have a system crash later down the road, and you recover from the last image created, you will still have all the OS problems at the time you made your image file.

    The best times to make a backup image your hard drive is when you take the PC out of the box, use the TI or any other drive image software at that time to make an image back-up of your drive. Then add all your programs that you will need, make another backup image of your hard drive.
