    Just to add to HandsOff's recommendation. I havent used Dantz Retro, but CPU magazine rated Dantz Retrospect Professional 6.5 as the best backup application in its roundup in October (other condenders were Double Image-o 5.0, Iomega Automatic Backup, Symantec Drive Image 7, and Symantec Ghost 2003).

    Haven't tested Retro, but it should be a robust program if it does not run in windows. I don't put much faith in those mainstream PC mag. They highlight retail products, which often have large advertising budget and crummy tech support. All proggies that support incremental backup rely on the 1st "master" image file for proper restoration. If there is a problem with the 1st master image file, then you may not be able to restore the data. In my book, you're sacrificing safety for speed.
