    Hello,
I think we can doubt about this review !!!:thumbd:

So, in ESS review, it is said that antivirus is "average" :cautious: although it is said in EAV review, the antivirus is "excellent" and is classified in 3rd position :thumb: It is the same engine :)

So, feel free to understand what you want !
Just I would add that it is true that some all vintage virus was not detected, but all others were !

Well you can have a look at the latest test by AV-Comparatives (it's the first one testing EAV 3).
    http://www.av-comparatives.org/
It is true that although EAV has a good overall rating, its performance in the category "other malware" is quite disappointing.

You are right. But in the other hand, concerning proactive tests (november), nod32 is much better than kapersky and is one of the best of all (if not the best !). Even if in this bench, NOD32 v2.7 were used, I think EAV v3 has high performances !

    Regards

but guys its also a fact that the PCMAG also reviewed like that and also whenever i run other antispyware it finds many others spywares nod32 has skipped whats this..even kaspersky detects so many one big example is
cssrss.exe virus the very annoying virus

It's not a problem to find a file csarss.exe detected by NOD32 and undetected by other AVs. No AV detects 100% of all threats, what one detects the other can miss and vice-versa.

why not just see what NOD or ESS can do for you instead of believing every test you read?

Remember that "Spyware" is a somewhat subjective term. What one person might consider Spyware, someone else might actually like.

I think my combination of ESS, Comodo Boclean and Superantispyware does a pretty good job. Haven't been compromised YET !
Then again, I don't go to any web sites that might have/cause a problem.

    I agree.

    2.7.39 - August 2007 - other malware - 93,79%

    3.0.621 - February 2008 - other malware - 89,80%

    Geral test

    2.7.39 - 97,60%

    3.0.621 - 97,70%

    Difference: 0,10%

If maintained the same position in relation to "others malware" August 2007, its % would be:: v3.0.621 - 97,80%

    Diference: 0,20%

I hope we have understood my reasoning

    Comparisons:

    Kav: 98,30%

    NOd32: 97,70%

    Difference: 0,60%

    Projecting test:Just a simulation

    Kav: 98,30%
    Nod32: 97,80%

    Difference: 0,50%

EDIT:In conversation with the "IBK" responsible for the AV-Comparatives sent me the correct values:)

Thank you for help me "IBK"

    Cheers:cool:
