Is there any way to disable ThreatSense using the Configuration files. I cannot find it anywhere using the Configuration Editor.

    Cheers

    Bump.

Can anyone with experience deploying NOD using the Remote Administrator answer this?

    Cheers

    Hi ccp,

in the configuration editor, go to General, Settings, ThreatSense.Net and change the settings you require there.

FWIW why not just configure ThreatSense to operate in a way that pleases you instead of disabling it?

    Cheers :)

    Thanks NOD32 user.

Yea I had looked through the ThreatSense.Net settings but there is nothing to actually switch ThreatSense off. Looks like the only way is to visit every workstation.

We are about to push NOD32 out to over 400 machines and I have noticed the test installations are reporting back to 10 eset URL's every 10 minutes (Probably because that type of traffic is blocked at the firewall) . Way too much idle chatter for my liking.

If there is a way to disable en mass I'd like to hear it.

    Thanks again.

    Thanks Marcos.

Tried that setting but it is specific to the transmission of anonymous statistical information. ThreatSense still wants to phone home.

    Thanks again.

I haven't tried it with Suspicious files set to Never submit yet. I'll give it a go and see if it quietens NOD down a bit.
