    Dear supporters,

My organisation has just upgraded to the latest version of ESET Remote Administrator (3.1.11), and are looking to update all clients from version 3 to 4.

I'm currently doing some testing and have a few questions I hope you can assist with.

First of all, we have a 3rd party provider to scan all our e-mail, so we wish to completely disable E-mail client protection and E-mail scan. Can this be done WITHOUT ESET going into yellow protection status and warning the users? We want it disabled, but to be green status when disabled.

Also, which setting in the xml file disables this feature completely?

    Thanks in advance
    Stefan

You can achieve that by disabling POP3 checking and integration with email clients. Still, I wouldn't recommend doing so as a threat may slip the 3rd party provider and the user may run it unwittingly.

In effect, email protection will be enabled but email checking will not be performed as the POP3 scanner and integration with the email client will be disabled.
