Directory destroyed - Need help!

    I was moving some slack space from one drive to another. Now I can't boot up. I spent 3 hours with Dell support with no help. Can anyone help me? I have sent the disk to a Data Recovery firm that wants thousands to give me "raw" files. Just a list of files with names like File 1234.doc.

    I would welcome any help.

    Could you please describe how you tried to move space? What program did you use? Also please let us know what happens now when you try to boot the computer.
