    Hello Everyone!

I wish to setup my harddisk in the following manner:

    Partition 1: Windows XP Pro
Partition 2: Windows XP Pro (2nd independent Win XP Installation)
    Partition 3: Data Partition A
    Partition 3: Data Partition B

Then using Acronis OS Selector (the one included in Disk Director 10) I wish to configure them as follows:

    I. When booting from Partition 1, only Partitions 1 and 3 should be visible/accessible.
II. When booting from Partition 2, only Partitions 2 and 4 should be visible/accessible.

I can successfully create setting (I., i.e. when booting from Partition 1, only Partitions 1 and 3 are visible and accessible).

However, I am unable to setup (II.), since partition 1 remains visible/accessible from within the 2nd Windows. :(

Can anybody help me with a suggestion on how I might achieve my goal?

    Greetings,

    SigiHH

When you installed the second XP was the first XP partition hidden and the second XP partition set Active? Or did you setup you XP installations using XP's boot manager before installing OSS?

Is your XP CD a standard Microsoft OEM or Retail version CD? If so, do you know how to use the Recovery Console?

Can you post a screenshot of what Disk Management shows when you're booted into the second XP?

Can you post a copy of the BOOTWIZ.OSS file (instructions can be found here)?
