Different virus signature...

i found this when trying to scan manually.

in the Computer Scan, the virus signature shows: 2650 (20071109)

meanwhile,

in the Update, the virus signature shows: 2665 (20071117)


is this a bug?
why the signature don't update itself in the Computer Scan?

Hi!

Note that one is Versions of virus signature , the other is Versions of virus signature used . This means that :

The Update section shows the signatures in use at the moment by all modules
The Scan section shows the signature version that were used in your last on-demand scan

Not a bug

 

then that means the signature updates just for the protection?
why not updating the signature at the computer scan too? or is it will be updated when i'm scanning manually again?

The one shown in scan is what was in existance on your PC when the last manual or automatic scan was done. Next scan will use whatever is on your PC at that time.

Realtime uses the latest as shown in the update screen.
