You can download ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus trial version and try a fully functional version for 30 days for free. After the expiration of this evaluation period, you are welcomed to purchase a commercial version of ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus.

it was a reply to your post which you edited but it read originaly like you were asking about software other than Eset, hence my comment. As for your experience you might have download and trialled one version which then simply got updated when new version was released.

    Hello,

As noted, trial versions of the software have a 30-day license. Also, when a major program component update comes out (perhaps 1-2 times a year) licensed users will receive it. To date, there have not been any PCUs for ESET NOD32 Antivirus v4, and a PCU is currently being tested for users with v3.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky
