Free version can be very helpful for running something untrusted. Like if you aren't sure that a file is legit or not just run it in a sandbox.

Pro lets you run multiple sandboxes, which is wayyyy better and you can force applications into their own sandboxes.

The paid version gives you a lifetime license that is good for use on all of your personal computers.

imdb, once you running something sandboxed, the protection on both versions is the same. I like to think of the paid version as sandboxie "on automatic" as running files and programs becomes easier since they will run sandboxed when you click on them instead of having to think and right click on the file in order to run it sandboxed. Sandboxie paid gives you a more comfortable way of using SBIE but both versions are great. Using either version the whole time will keep you safe. So, the answer to your question is YES.

sandboxie does offer a yearly update price or an lifetime key.

me i opt for the lifetime key but some spend the 15 or so dollar for a year of updates.
