I cant believe why so many people run their PC,s without back up protection, that was the 1st thing i buy when i get this PC, is important to protect your inversion and you can get rid of future pains.
Absolutely. Where I live an UPS is a must. All of my computers, routers, kvm switches, monitors are powered by UPS's. If needed my UPS's will signal the computers to shutdown.
people always get their $1,000 plus plasma or LED t.v.s and they never use any kind of backup protection and then during a electric power fail you know cry, cry and more cryng
Probably because they usually last a few mins only. 15-20 mins? If they lasted a few hours then i would consider it
15-20 Min is enough to save your work so that computer shuts down in correct manner it is not like you can work on your PC for hours during power cut
And just as importantly...they maintain nice smooth clean power to your equipment plugged into them. What does this provide? Added stability, and longer life of electronic equipment. Far less issues.
you are lost in the middle of the sea let me tell you is not a battery for continuing working when you have a power cut is just to protect your PC or electro domestic in a power cut or over voltage its even help to lower your PC power consumption and help all your internal to be safety read the following. http://www.apc.com/power/problems.cfm
I was not using one either until three or four years ago. Then we had a Power failure in my area, when it was restored I guess there was a surge. It blew up my Power Supply, Mother Board and Harddrive! So I learned the hard way and since then I'm using one.
a really, really big UPS, two car sized batteries, 1100W inverter, 40A charger, does all computer gear plus TV gear and some house lights for safety at night, good for about 1.5 days if there's a long outage.
