Device Manager!!

    Just went to open Device Manager and got this......

    What have I done wrong now??...:D

    Many thanks Amigos.......regsvr32 dmocx.dll......worked like a charm....I've never come across this fault before, any ideas as to what can cause this......I can't think of anything I've done that would cause the loss of that particular dll.

    you could have a look through the event logs to see if anything comes up there.

    i think there's some malware that will cause that problem called Apropos. you can look for any of the files mentioned in the link below to check, but i don't know if they are hidden, it mentioned something about rootkits.

    if you use a registry cleaner you could check and see if anything you have removed is a sub-key of this -
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum

    that might cause the problem too.
