Determining your chipset

Hello, I am fixing to refresh windows 7 with the RTM version I bought.

I got my ethernet drivers just incase, but the one thing I can't find is my chipset utility. I know the built in video is intel 4500M, but I have no idea which of these chipsets are for me as the primary chipset.

I know that windows 7 will install their own driver, but I feel better using the latest driver from my actual chipset manufacturer. I can't tell you how many times I would rather use guru3d beta drivers or nforce hq fernando 1's sata performance pack over regular releases thru microsoft windows update.

I have also read that installing the latest vista 64 chipset drivers on windows 7 64 gives a boost.

 

Download this utility from Intel and it will identify your chipset for you.
