I hope this isn't wasting your precious time, and it's NOT urgent.

I have a number of different types of nasties in various folders. Occasionally i open the folders to send samples to people, and i get alerts like this

I know i can choose to overide the detections by excluding folders etc

What i was wondering is, due to the exclusions would i still be protected if any of those nasties were mistakenly run. Not that i will :D And/or for eg if i was unfortunate to get blasted with one from somewhere else ?

If there listed in Detection Overrides yes you will get infected if you run or get the same infected file again and if you don't have another layer of security! And it looks like you just have the PSO Facebook version without Protection & Cleanup because of the Red L meaning you need a cleanup license!

Just as a corroboration, TH is correct, as usual! :thumb: You will get infected if you have a detection override listed over that folder.

Thanks to you both, that's what i feared. If we play with fire, expect to be burned :D I do have other strong measures in place so i'm not worried about getting infected ;) As i said, i don't run them anyway, just wondered about still being covered or not.
