I have software DEP turned on for ALL programs and services on this XP Pro SP2 box. My processor is capable of hardware DEP but I am not running XP 64 bit so this is just software DEP that is running. Process Explorer is reporting that DEP is turned OFF for procguard.exe. Why? And how can this be since DEP is turned on for ALL programs and services. I know procguard.exe is the GUI so is the GUI excluded from DEP? Or is Process Explorer incorrect? Process Explorer shows all processes and programs with DEP turned on including pgaaccount.exe and DCSUserProt.exe. It shows DEP off also for Firefox and jview which is odd.
