Neither. VelocityMicro has been making these kind of machines for years, and on top of the hardware you get top notch support.

Care to explain that?? I've been to their factory, and everything I saw was built on site with parts you can buy on the market. Nothing at all from Voodoo.

Sure. HP bought them. They (Voodoo) were a top gaming computer company. I wasn't referring to Velocity Mirco.

That's not so ladore. The XPS boxes were flying out the door. Dell bought Alienware to "Formally" enter the high-end arena.

    Wikipedia:

As of 2006, Dell employed more than 78,700 people worldwide.

In 2006, Fortune magazine ranked Dell as the 25th-largest company in the Fortune 500 list, 8th on its annual Top 20 list of the most-admired companies in the United States. A 2006 publication identified Dell as one of 38 high-performance companies in the S&P 500, which consistently out-performed the market over the previous 15 years.

    Hello,

Sorry mate, far, far, far too expensive.
I can build custom rigs with much better performance for much less.
And I'm not talking Albanian prices, I'm talking proper USD prices.

Find a good local shop and build a custom rig. I don't know where you live, but KSP are quite good, and they have offices in UK.

My computer shop won the contest of the fastest game computer in "Vlaanderen" (= is the dutch part of Belgium).
But I'm not interested in games. I work or test with my computer. No games. My game = solving and simplify problems.

Gaming boxes are not just for Gaming anymore. Omit the hi-end graphics & sound card and you will have an excellent computer.

Personally I do zero gaming, but I always buy a gaming rig. It gives me the best all-around box for business and my personal computing needs.

Same here, and I also get the better sound and video cards. The video cards really make a difference in the speed perception, because of the screen refresh.

It seems to be here in Europe everyone slavishly following in the footsteps of the big vendors. After much perusing the web i found a small firm here in Holland that build customised rigs at your wishes [ they also recommend XP Pro ! ]
