Dell Laptop Hangs

    My Dell Latitude D630 hangs whenever I boot from recovery media and selected FULL Version of Image Workstion 9.1.

    I'm also having exactly the same problem. Did you find a fix? It works in safe mode but need access to network.

    the solution seems to be to use the instructions in the acronis help post to specify "acpi=off noapic" to the linux kernel.

    The latter means its not using two CPU's and this seems to be the solution, after several hours of frustration I finally got my D630 to restore the backup I did ok earlier today!
