I agree. I have been very happy with skinless DW 3.0.

Ive heard there will be a discount offered when v3 comes out. Will it be cheaper to buy v2.56 now and get the free upgrade to the firewall when v3 comes out or will it be cheaper for the v3 firewall to come out and go on discount at bitsdujour? Thanks.

I guess, BDJ deal will be cheaper, but it's just one day and I have no idea when I'll book it as the version is not ready yet (skin library, help file). You don't want to wait, isn't it?

DefenseWall Personal Firewall is, in fact, the way personal firewalls have to be ten years ago.

Its far easier to change status to trusted in DW than with a woman (and I'm married).

I've been testing the DW 3.0 beta and it is very easy to use. In fact, its so easy I'm not sure I'm using the FW functions correctly. Does any body know the new concept behind the FW and ports protection functions of DW?:doubt:

very simple only when needed for example if a malware is introduce, let's say a trojan is ofcourse running untrusted and tries to connect out to the net then DW will give you a very simple to understand pop up alert:thumb: then just block it,end of story:D no connection establish at all,i tested my self it works:cool:

    Ilya or Mega-user,

Could you please outline the latest plans for Defensewall?

Will there be any changes to make it more user-friendly when it comes to updating trusted programmes like Firefox extensions? White-list?

I love the programme but I can't abide manually setting FF to untrusted to install extensions.

    Thanks,
    Ian

How does the Dwall firewall compare with Zonealarm Firewall?

I like DW just the way it is. I am using Outpost firewall now. Will upgrade to DW 3.0 if I can use it without the firewall portion.

Yes, there are such the plans, whitelisting-based. But as about FF extensions- it's very hard to deal with it because of its highly integrated structure.

Run as trusted, update, close process. I do this way.

I believe, everything should be fine with it. There will be a chance for you to make sure in it.
