    I loaded my old DW 2.56 after getting rid of AVG IS. Beautiful, fast, no problems.

    Then, it asked if I wanted to upgrade to this 3.08. I had bad experiences with v3, but decided to upgrade and see.

    No hangs on bootup this time. But, restarting the computer takes fully 3x longer.

    I restarted again and it was a full minute and a half before everything finished. Once loaded, there is no slowdown at all. Using the latest Chrome, very fast and no problems.

    I tried a 3rd restart, figuring that maybe it just took a few to settle down or something. DW, on this computer, Dell Inspiron 1525, Win Vista HP sp2 with 2G RAM is just very slow on boot. I'll keep with it for a few days, but may end up dropping back to 2.56, which lets the computer boot at normal speed.

    Try contacting Ilya the developer. Could be a conflict with another program (that uses kernel hooks).

    Looks like a conflict with other program. You definitely have to send me an e-mail to the support address.

    Problem solved, although I'm puzzled as to what the conflict could be. I got rid of one Dell program - Support, since I'm out of warranty now. Rebooted and that changed nothing. Still took a 90 seconds to boot from the login screen to finish.

    Dell Inspiron 1525, Win Vista HP sp2, 2G RAM.

    I rebooted again and watched which icons in the toolbar loaded. ShadowDefender v.278 was one of the last. I removed SD, rebooted once more, and from login to finish, 25 seconds.

    I thought maybe I'd misread my watch, so rebooted one more time. Once again, from login password to finished booting, approximately 25 seconds.

    ShadowDefender was not running running. I hadn't used it in a couple of weeks in fact. But in two reboots, after removing SD, my boot time speeded up 75%.

    @Ilya Rabinovich:

    Thanks for 3.08 update.
    In tray, DW icon --> Right click --> About shows 3.08 version, but in "C:\Program Files\DefenseWall", it shows 3.0.7.0. Is it normal/OK?

    Did install SD and have had no single issue at all. Maybe, there is something specific thing here. So, Chuck, you need to send me at e-mail to the support address and I'll send you test drivers set back.

    I never touch the Rollback feature...I just let it do it's thing without intervention from me. :)
