I am trying out DW on our family's pc and ever since installed, I cannot connect via mapped drive...how do I fix this? I know it's DW cause when I disable the FW I can connect fine.

Try checking your DFW event logs and see if you can identify ports that are blocked when connecting via mapped drives. You can unblock them by modifying the inbound settings of DFW.

All simple and described with DW's help file. "Firewall"->"Inbound"->"Allow"->"Allow..."->"Allow Network File Sharing". Apply changes and that's it.

that is normal as you dont want an untrusted program to attack your explorer.exe;)

Yes, it's normal, because explorer.exe is running trusted and DW blocks Internet access otherwise.
