Got it. Installed over 3.16 Beta and running smooth. Been looking for the final version. Thanks LoneWolf for the heads up.

Avira finds the the download page at softsphere.com, a potentially dangerous website. Obviously a FP or the page has been hacked?

False positive from an over zealous webguard.

I love defensewall but I wish somehow to make the browser snap open quicker.

Thanks running great along comodo fw and nod32 v5 on win7.

I saw now that its runs on win 8, is it ok that defensewall_serv.exe appears in task manager as not running on win 8(just testing)?

You need to enable Task Manager to observe all the user's processes. It's under the SYSTEM user.

I don´t get what you are saying.

What I was saying is that under services in task manager it appears as stop.I have to manually run it although under services startup type its suppose to be automatic.I was asking if its not needed to run in windows 8.

Ah, yes, you are correct. Something is wrong here, I didn't notice it.

Edited: the problem is isolated and solved. Thank you a lot for letting me know about it! As Win8 is just a pre-beta, I'll leave the update for 3.17 version.

DefenseWall w/firewall : I won a license on softpedia and need to know if people run the firewall along with Windows built in firewall or not? Any preferences in this regard?

I can confirm this. When I tested Defensewall in a VM and on a real machine, windows firewall and Defensewall worked together without issues.

Two FW's working in tandem and, no conflicts? Strange, isn't it?

I installed DW FW on our main computer at home and immediately uninstalled Comodo FW just to avoid any potential conflicts that might arise.

    Thanks
